7 Simple Tips That You Can Use Everyday

ree

1. Two glasses of water before each meal may help reduce your appetite at meal time and could help keep your digestive track running more smoothly.

2. Try to avoid very salty foods or adding salt to your plate. Salt retains water and you may think you weigh more than you actually do, but it can be some water retention that ups the scale a bit. Certain foods work as natural diuretics to remove excess water and salt from your body.

*You should always consult your physician before you eliminate or restrict intake of a mineral from your diet to be sure this is healthy for your own particular situation.

3. If snacking late night or boredom snacking is your issue start a log of what you snack on. Just having to write it down could stop you from following through on a snacking impulse or may at least make you more conscious of portion control when you decide the snack is necessary.

4. Stock the fridge with cut veggies as snack alternatives that are readily accessible and convenient so you don’t have to think about making a nutritious choice.

5. You shouldn't have to completely give up your favorite foods if they don't fit your weight loss plan. Just have smaller portions, limit the times you add them to your meal plan and count what you do eat into your calories for the day.

6. Don’t obsess too much about calories. Just ball park it since calories are not an exact science.

7. Enjoy the food you eat. Make your meal look appealing which could add to your eating enjoyment!
