Drink Responsibly! Simple Low Cal Margarita

A low cal version of the classic Margarita offering the same great flavor with a lot less calories!
SIMPLE LOW CAL MARGARITA

Ingredients:
- 4 Oz Tequila (I prefer silver or blanco)
- Fresh Lime Juice from 1 ½ to 2 whole limes
(approx. 2 Tbs lime juice per lime)
- 3 Tsp Agave (can substitute simple syrup)
- 1 Blender filled ¾ of the way with ice (crush on crush setting)
What You Need:
- Blender (crushed ice optional – ice cubes can be substituted)
- Cocktail Shaker (or a jar with a lid)
- 2 high ball glasses
Note:
- See below for simple syrup recipe
- simple syrup can be substituted for agave, both agave (20 calories/tsp) and simple syrup (17 calories /tsp) are similar in calorie content but the sugar content will be slightly altered in the nutrition facts.
Instructions:
- Fill Blender ¾ of the way full with ice and set on crush ice setting until ice is crushed and set aside
- Fill a cocktail shaker about half way with ice
- Add 4 ounces of tequila
- Squeeze 1½ to 2 limes into the shaker
- Add 3 tsp of agave
- Cover shaker and shake vigorously
- Fill glasses about ¾ of the way full with crushed ice
- Pour over crushed ice
- Garnish with a slice of fresh lime and serve!

Simple Syrup Done Simply
Simple syrup is a syrup that can mix easily into a liquid.
Simple Syrup is equal parts sugar and hot water.
Instructions:
- Dissolve desired amount of sugar in an equal amount of heated water in a small sauce pan.
- Stir until brought to a boil and cool
- When cooled you can use in drinks as per recipes.
